Beatriz de la Iglesia is a data mining researcher with expertise in algorithm development and application to several areas including health care data analysis. She has recently worked on a project to provide a quantification of yield traits from real in-field images of wheat crops, in particular a count of spikelets using deep learning algorithms.  For this project, a combination of transfer learning and multi-task learning with convolutional neural networks produced very good results.
