Prof Grzegorz Cielniak (Co-Investigator)

Research Interests

Greg’s research interests include mobile robotics, machine perception, AI and in particular applications in agricultural robotics and food technology.


Greg is a member of the Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems. He also co-founded the University’s cross-disciplinary research group in Agri-Food Technology with colleagues from across the institution.

Cohort 1 CDT Student Karoline Heiwolt, who is working with Saga Robotics on their PhD project titled ‘4D Scene Analysis for Autonomous Operation of Mobile Robots on Farms’.

Cohort 3 CDT Student Xumin Gao, who is working with the British Beet Research Organisation (BBRO) on their PhD project titled ‘Automatic aphid counting based on deep learning and robotics technology in unstructured agriculture environments’.
